Car Key Technologies ("we," "us," or "the Company") operates as a referral and dispatch service connecting dealerships, fleets, businesses, and drivers with independent, third-party key programming and locksmith service providers ("Partners"). Please read the following carefully before requesting service or referring a customer to us.
Car Key Technologies does not perform key programming, locksmithing, or automotive lockout services directly. We do not employ, supervise, or control the technicians who perform these services. All work is performed exclusively by independently owned and operated Partner businesses.
Each Partner is an independent business, not an employee, agent, joint venturer, or representative of Car Key Technologies. Partners are solely responsible for their own staffing, equipment, methods, pricing, scheduling, and the quality and outcome of the work they perform.
Car Key Technologies requires Partners to represent that they hold all licenses, permits, bonding, and insurance required by the jurisdiction in which they operate. Car Key Technologies does not independently confirm a Partner's license, insurance, or bonding status prior to every dispatch, and licensing requirements vary by location. Dealerships, fleets, businesses, and drivers are strongly encouraged to request to see a Partner's license and insurance documentation before authorizing any work.
References to "rapid," "priority," "24/7," or similar language describe our goal of connecting customers with available Partners promptly and do not constitute a guaranteed response time, arrival window, or availability in any specific location. Service availability, technician arrival time, and ability to complete a given job depend on factors outside our control, including Partner availability, traffic, weather, vehicle make and model, and job complexity.
Any pricing information referenced on this website is an estimate only. Final pricing is determined by the servicing Partner at the time of service and may vary based on vehicle type, key or fob type, order volume, time of day, location, and job complexity. Car Key Technologies does not set, collect, or guarantee final pricing charged by any Partner.
Car Key Technologies makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the quality, safety, legality, timeliness, or workmanship of any service performed by a Partner. Any warranty for work performed is solely between the customer and the servicing Partner.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Car Key Technologies, its owners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to property damage, vehicle damage, personal injury, or financial loss, arising from or related to services performed by a Partner. Any claim, dispute, or complaint regarding service quality, pricing, or performance should be directed to the servicing Partner business directly.
It is the responsibility of any dealership, fleet, business, or individual requesting service to exercise reasonable judgment when engaging any service provider, including confirming licensing and insurance, confirming pricing before work begins, and reporting concerns about a specific technician or job to the servicing Partner and, where applicable, the relevant state, provincial, or local licensing authority.
Car Key Technologies' Partner network spans the United States and Canada, but coverage varies by location and is not available in every market. The specific geographic areas served may change from time to time as independent Partners join, leave, or adjust their availability within our network. Availability in a specific city, region, state, or province does not guarantee that a Partner is available at the time of a given request.
